About Rains
Rains Draper is a folk-rock singer/songwriter.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Rains's musical journey has taken him from the forests of Maine, through the foothills of the Appalachians in North Carolina, to the Scottish coast and finally to Washington, D.C., where he now resides.
He has performed originals and covers in a wide array of atmospheres, from back porches and Scottish pubs to modern music venues for audiences of all sizes.
His influences lie in 1970s folk music and southern rock (Jim Croce, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, J.J. Cale, Lynyrd Skynyrd) as well as more contemporary acts (Mt. Joy, John Craigie, Avett Brothers).
